Thought I'd share with you today the products I'm currently loving...
I have a different photo layout to how I normally do them, so let me know what you think.
Skin and Hair:
John Frieda 'tone correcting' shampoo and conditioner: I've been using both of these EVERY time I've washed my hair since I've had it ombred and I love it. It's literally bright purple when you squeeze it on to your hands and it smells soooooo good. Obviously it's also amazing at reducing brassy tones in dyed/bleached hair! I think this retails for around £5 each but Boots normally have offers on.
Trilogy rosehip face oil: I'm gonna put it out there and say I don't think I could actually imagine my life without this little wonder product... I don't know what it does exactly, but it does something, and that something is good. I've been using this for around a month and I've noticed a better appearance in my skin. I was a bit dubious about putting a face oil on oily skin but this really does work. A lot... I got mine from Feel Unique for around £13 in the sale... It's only 20ml so it's expensive but a little goes a long way, and it's definitely worth it in my opinion.
Bioderma: This product is probably THE most talked about product of 2012 and at first, I really didnt like it. In fact, I disliked it so much after all the hype that it went in my disappointing products post. As I said in that post, perhaps I got a dud bioderma? After all, you're never 100% sure that people are genuine on ebay! Anyway, I reordered from another seller and I absolutely love it. I think I've repurchased this 4 or 5 times now and I have no intention of looking for another make up remover! The seller I buy mine from sells it for £15ish for a 500ml bottle which usually lasts me just over a month. Urghhhh. I need to go to France...
Clarins 'pure and radiant' mask: Ok, this product is bloody expensive... at £21.50 a go it is hands down the most expensive face mask I've ever bought but it is worth it. I appear to be a little bit hooked on Clarins products for oily/combo skin at the moment, but this is my favourite so far!! This has really helped reduce the amount of oil my skin produces. Yay!
Carmex: A totally boring product, I know, but this is a miracle worker!! I suffer from really bad chapped lips and this leaves them feeling lovely. I have no idea what this smells of but it's really nice which is always a plus in my books. It's totally addictive and I reapply it sooooo much. It's super cheap as well - I think it's less than £3 which is pretty awesome.
Lush 'mint julips' lip scrub: These little pots of sugar also got a fair bit of hype last year... A lip scrub that you can eat...Yummy... It really works to get rid of dead flaky skin and tastes good too! I'm pretty sure I'm going to gain weight using this product haha!! This will last absolutely ages (unless you literally just eat it), so £5 well spent!
Make up and tools:
Clinique 'oil free stay matte' foundation - shade 6, Ivory: I think I have finally found my holy grail foundation. I'm not going to witter on about it too much here, because I will do a review on it in the near future but I absolutely love it. Perfect coverage, amazing staying power and photographs beautifully. For a high end product, I don't think it's that expensive... I got mine from the Clinique counter at Boots for £20.50 and it is literally going to last me months, so when you think about it, the £20.50 isnt expensive at all.
MUA 'glamour days' pallette: Although I think this pallette is lovely on a whole, the main reason I love this so much are for the 2 matte brown colours that have little white dots coming off them (photo editing skillllzzzzz) I admit, they don't look like anything special and they aren't really, but I absolutely love love love using these 2 mixed together for my eyebrows. Until the end of last year I didnt really 'do' my eyebrows. I had them waxed and plucked every 4 weeks but I didnt ever define them with make up. Now it's a staple in my make up routine and these products are just amazing. This pallette only cost £4 from Superdrug and I'm pretty sure I've got my moneys worth out of those 2 shades alone...
Nars 'deep throat' blush: Oo er, what a rude name!! I was bought this for my last birthday and at first I was a bit sceptical. £21 to spend on a blush is totally ridiculous, but it looks so gorgeous on the skin that I actually don't care about the price tag! I'm going to do a review of this as well, so look out for that!
Real Techniques powder and buffing brush: Another super hyped product of 2012 and well deserved too... I bought these in November and literally havent used anything else since. The buffing brush applies my foundation excellently and the powder brush is super super soft and applies my finishing powder without me looking cakey! I got the buffing brush in the core collection which retails for £21.99 and the powder brush retails for £10.99. Sorry that they are dirty, I cleaned them after I took these photos! Ah well, at least it shows they're well loved.
Maybelline 'colour tattoos' in on and on bronze and pink gold: The 2 of these are easily my 'go to' eyeshadows for every day. They apply with a creamy texture and dry to an almost powder finish, last all day and they are both so versatile. The first week I got them, all my colleagues at work were complimenting my eyeshadows and told me it looked gorgeous! Bonus!! I got mine from Boots and Superdrug and I think they are around the £6 mark! My favourite of the 2 is on and on bronze, purely because it looks super gorgeous and sultry on the lids!
No7 eye contour brush: This is pretty much a dupe for the MAC 217 from what I've seen and heard! I've only had this for a few days but I absolutely love it and I'm already considering getting another one!! It blends eyeshadow out so effortlessly and it is perfect for defining the socket line.
Misc:
Cosy socks: Who doesnt love cosy socks?? These are honestly the warmest things EVER and I love putting them on with my pjs when I get home from work!! I think they are from Primark so they're super cheap as well!
iPhone 4 case: I am a massive fan of phone cases and this Audrey Hepburn one is just lovely!! If you know me, then you'll know I'm a huge huge fan of Audrey and this phonecase is one of my favourite pictures of her! Classy, sophisticated and elegant. I think this only cost me around £4 on ebay as well.
Scented candle: Recently, I've been loving burning scented candles in my bedrooom whilst getting ready to go out, or when I'm chilling in the bedroom. This specific one is a Wax Lyrical one from Haskins and it cost me £6.49 in the sale! This specific scent is hard to describe but it's relatively sweet, and christmassy!
What do you think of my choices? What are your favourites?
Love and stuff
